THE BOOKS

Cracks in the Pavement

Meet Daniel Walker, an enigmatic young man in his mid-twenties, living and working in the heart of Edinburgh. He is handsome, intelligent, sleep-deprived and often hungover. Dan works in a corporate office, hates his job and his moronic boss.  Most of his time is spent in bars throughout the city, discussing the world and where it all went wrong.

When his love interest, Emily, is attacked by a 'Dark Stranger', Dan must infiltrate an underground street community, to catch the elusive attacker.

'Cracks in the Pavement' is a darkly funny, sexually graphic Dickensian look at the dizzying heights and gritty depths of a fractured modern society.

All the while, a real life monster lurks in the shadows, waiting for his chance...to strike!

REVIEWS

"There was enough action and mystery to satisfy any reader!  I enjoyed this book immensely and commend the author on a unique story.  I look forward to all future projects by Mr Hopkins." 5 stars, The Reading Cafe.

"This novel has many different facets. On one level it is a contemporary story about a young man's life. On another level it gets a bit erotic. And then the story goes into a bizarre Poirot-Twilight Zone ruse..." 3 stars, love4lit.com
